Meet Physiotherapist & Clinic Director Laura Gentile
Laura Gentile
Laura started her physio journey at La Trobe University and graduated in 2007. Laura started work as a private practice physiotherapist 2008, where she was kept busy with a varied caseload of spinal and sports conditions.
Laura then went on to complete her Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2013. During this time she worked alongside some of Melbourne’s leading physiotherapists and was exposed to many complex presentations. Following on from completing her Masters, Laura then qualified as a Paediatric Physiotherapist through Monash University. In addition, Laura has completed other short courses in Clinical Pilates, Shoulder, Pelvic Floor, Hip/Pelvis, Functional Strength and Conditioning, Lower Limb Tendinopathy and Vestibular pathologies.
From Laura’s years of experience, she has developed areas of special interest, which include spinal conditions (especially neck pain, headaches and thoracic pain), shoulders, pre and post natal care, paediatric physiotherapy, Pilates, pelvis/SIJ dysfunction and vestibular issues (BPPV).
Laura believes in a holistic approach to physiotherapy care, not only to relieve pain, but to assist you in achieving optimal function and quality of life. Laura also believes in a collaborative, patient-centred approach, so will work with you to develop a treatment plan that best suits your needs and will help you achieve your goals.
Outside of work, Laura can be found at her local CrossFit gym or drinking coffee at her local cafe. She is also strongly involved in her local dancing club where she has been learning different forms of dance since she was 8 years old. Over the summer months, Laura dabbles at water sports on the Murray and when the weather turns cold she can be found cheering on her beloved Bombers at the ‘G.
